1. Who we are
Nearby Flooring Pros (“Nearby Flooring Pros”, “we”, “us”) operates this website as a lead-generation and matching service. We connect homeowners and property owners who are considering flooring work with independent flooring professionals and home-improvement companies. We are not a flooring contractor and we do not perform installation, repair, or refinishing work ourselves.
You can contact us about this policy at privacy@nearbyflooringpros.com, or by mail at 1200 Market Street, Suite 400, Wilmington, DE 19801.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the estimate request form, we collect the information you enter, which includes:
- Project details — the service you need, the flooring material you are considering, approximate project area, property type, whether you are the homeowner, and your timeline.
- Property location — street address, city, state, and ZIP code.
- Contact information — first and last name, email address, and telephone number.
- Consent record — whether you checked the consent box, the exact disclosure text that was displayed to you, and the date and time we received your submission.
Information collected automatically
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Browser type, device type, operating system, and user agent string
- The page you landed on and the page that referred you
- Campaign parameters such as
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign,utm_term,utm_content, and advertising click identifiers such asgclidandfbclid - Pages viewed, time on page, and interactions with the form
Lead certification data
To document the consent you provide and to protect both you and the companies we work with, we use independent third-party verification services:
- TrustedForm (ActiveProspect, Inc.) — records your interaction with the form and issues a certificate documenting the disclosure that was shown and the consent you gave. The certificate URL is stored with your request.
- Jornaya LeadiD (Verisk Marketing Solutions) — creates an independent identifier and record of the lead event, including the consent language presented at the time of submission.
These services operate under their own privacy policies, which are linked from our Marketing Partners page.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our analytics and advertising partners may use cookies, browser storage, pixels, and similar technologies to remember your session, measure how the site performs, attribute a submission to the campaign that brought you here, and measure advertising effectiveness. Attribution values are stored in your browser’s session storage and are cleared when you close the tab.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking them will not prevent you from using the form, though some measurement will be lost. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information where applicable law requires.
4. How we use your information
- To match your project with flooring professionals serving your area
- To transmit your request to those professionals and our partners
- To contact you about your request by phone, text, or email
- To verify, document, and retain the consent you provided
- To detect and prevent fraudulent, automated, or abusive submissions
- To measure and improve site and campaign performance
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
5. How we share your information
We share the information you submit with:
- Flooring professionals and home-improvement companies — the businesses that may contact you about your project. As described in the consent disclosure on the form, your request may be shared with up to four such companies.
- Lead distribution and marketing partners — companies that route qualified requests to professionals in their own networks. A current list is maintained on our Marketing Partners page.
- Service providers — hosting, analytics, communications, fraud prevention, and lead-certification vendors acting on our behalf.
- Legal and corporate recipients — where required by law, legal process, or a governmental request, to enforce our terms or protect rights and safety, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Once your information is shared with a professional or partner, their own privacy policy governs how they use it. We do not control, and are not responsible for, their practices. Opting out with us does not automatically opt you out with them — you will need to contact them directly.
6. Your communication choices and consent
The consent you give on the form is express written consent to be contacted at the number and email you provided, including by automated dialing technology, prerecorded or artificial voice, and SMS/MMS text messages, even if your number appears on a Do Not Call registry. This consent is not a condition of any purchase.
You can withdraw consent at any time:
- Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts from that sender
- Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email
- Ask to be placed on our internal do-not-call list by emailing privacy@nearbyflooringpros.com
Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies. Withdrawing consent does not affect contacts already made before the request was processed.
7. Data retention
We retain submitted information and the associated consent record for as long as needed for the purposes described here and to satisfy legal, regulatory, and evidentiary requirements — including demonstrating consent in the event of a dispute. Retention periods for consent records are typically longer than for marketing data. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or de-identified.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold, including encryption in transit, access controls, and rate limiting on submission endpoints. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, request a portable copy, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email privacy@nearbyflooringpros.com with the nature of your request. We will verify your identity before acting, usually by confirming details you previously submitted. You may use an authorised agent where the law permits.
Note for review: jurisdiction-specific sections (for example California CCPA/CPRA notices at collection, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and other state disclosures, and the required categories-of-information tables) should be drafted by counsel for the states in which you intend to advertise.
10. Children’s privacy
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party links
This site links to third-party websites, including those of our partners. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any site we do not operate.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
